Election Day

My friend Richard Andrews used to publish his own alternative print newspaper, aptly named The Real Deal. Now he offers an electronic version, and with analysis like this, we hope he sticks at it. He calls this the most consequential election for this area since Cleveland became the first major American city to elect a black mayor, more than 40 years ago. But he's not happy with the job our daily newspaper is doing in covering it all. He likens the Plain Dealer to Fox news. Anyway, we hope you'll read it, and vote.

Visually attractive format though his "complete" profile leaves something to be desired. Fascinating postings that gave insight into racial and other issues from an intelligent, observant, and first-hand perspective that invited me to walk in his shoes and consider various situations through a very different set of filters than the ones I naturally view life through. His disturbing experience dining on Public Square was told with restraint and class.

Worthwhile reading. Thanks.

Off to vote . . .

Good luck to my Ohio friends! Here in North Carolina we have no statewide issues or elections and the only local bond issue is for a science museum expansion. I think we got exhausted last year with the governor's race and senate race.

John makes the day for many of us, both here in NEOhio and in the nether regions his wholly unpredictable, provocative, and delightful blog undoubtedly reaches.

Thanks for the boost, Johnny, and when you see Anonymous the First let them know that I will flesh out my "complete profile" soon.
