I love Einstein quotes because they somehow seem more worthwhile than others. Maybe because he was a genius.:)
He must have said something less than profound through that long lifetime. But I haven't yet come across it. Of course, as you suggest, we tend to view him through the genius prism, so he always comes off better. But what's uniquely special about him, I think, was how he wore his genius so lightly within his larger humanity. That was his real genius.
A member of my writer's group had a genius-brother (now deceased) who worked with Einstein. Upon learning this, I told her that I now can say that I know someone who knew someone who knew Einstein. It doesn't get much closer than that!
Now there's something you don't come across every day, Maria. It doesn't get any cooler than that.
