One More Excellent Reason to Blog

'If it weren't for your blog, I'd have thought you'd fallen off the edge of the Earth...Talk to me.'
--my favorite email note thus far this year, from an old work buddy who lives in Washington, D.C. Now, if I could only convince him to hit the comment button every now and then, we could chat that way too...

Aw, Chief, after wandering around Tremont this afternoon, I'm convinced we need to pump some beers into you and just sit back, and listen, to what you have to say...

I'm convinced you can make "The Daily Planet" a better paper - in your own special way...

Chris,
I'd drink beer with you anytime (but probably only one; I'm a lightweight). After all, we're overdue to finally meet.

Sound good! The beer isn't a factor (it's the quality of conversation that matters the most).

I seem to remember you guys having a "writing roundtable" of sorts - or something of that nature. We need to pursue that further - or just keep it going (an informal meet-up of sorts). I was unavailable to attend the last one due to work - but something on a Sunday might be a good idea.

Otherwise, an interesting post on the Irag war - my friend, Alicia, suggests that they start posting deductions (like FICA) on everyone's paystubs to make them AWARE of the COST of this "war on terror." Not that you could ever put a pricetag on the pain of human loss and suffering on something like that...
