Seven Ways to Revive Your Marriage

We're not usually given to reading magazines such as Woman's Day, but somehow we happened to come across this piece, and thought it might be useful for some of you. It's hardly rocket science, and if you're married, you've heard it all before in various venues. But it never hurts to hear it again, we figure. Since we're coming up on our 25th wedding anniversary this summer, it seems especially timely.

A wise acquaintance had "the ten o'clock snack" with her husband in the early years of their marriage. She was working on her PhD and he was at his first post-college job. It was their time to reconnect and do something that was just about them. After a while they had to change it from brownies and cupcakes to carrot sticks and lox because the pounds were packing on, but they kept at the conversation.

That's funny, and reminds me of how I finally curbed my bad habit of eating a bowl of pasta about a half hour before bedtime. At a certain age, it becomes more than just a bad habit and an easy way to gain weight. It becomes an entree into serious heartburn that wakes you up in the middle of the night. Anyway, you'll have to let us know what kind of habits you'll be forming with your beau when you tie the knot.
