Since when has it just been Smokey Bear - not Smokey the Bear. Sorry it sounds stupid.
I used to hear those commercials as a kid and always wondered why they were telling me not to start a forest fire. As an Ohioan I didn't spend many of my formative years in forests.
Wonder whatever happened to the Litterbug - another icon from our generation.
TGIF, baby, TGIF....Reading time!!!
And don't forget the Indian chief with a single tear in his eye. Was he crying over litter or forest fires? I can't seem to remember.
As for TGIF, ah, the hammock beckons. What nerds we are, thinking about how much reading we can do on the weekend.
