"Find the journey's end in every step."

Is a quote that helps my focus and motivation even though I have no idea where I am headed.

"To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end of life."

-Robert Louis Stevenson

So maybe we don't know where we are going or what the road will look like ahead, but I think it will FEEL more fulfilling, satisfying, and energizing as the path draws nearer to the goal. I look for those clues as signposts.

Of course I could be totally wrong.

Walt was the "Just do it" guy before Nike - I'm of the same mind - but not nearly as inventive as Walt.

Interesting way to think of it, Diane. And I'm not sure anyone should use Walt Disney as their personal measuring stick of inventiveness. That would be like comparing your golf game to Tiger Woods--a sure path to being bummed out. Anyway, we creatives are only competing against ourselves, Diane. Do you agree? I think that goes doubly for those with some years in their craft.
