The Doctor Will See You Now

'If you haven't been practicing creativity as a lifestyle, don't expect to be creative on demand. It's unfair to the brain. A lot of creativity is about preparation.'
--my friend Jack Ricchiuto, the Following Your Bliss guru, speaking (and brilliantly, I might add) at a writer's conference last year.

His inner peacefulness and purpose does seem to register on his face, along with just a trace of his signature zen bemusement.

Another creativity guru has a name that provides great typing practice: Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi ...author of books such as the classic Flow; The Evolving Self; and Creativity: Flow and the Psychology of Discovery and Invention. Creativity may be at risk in a rushed and stressed society.

Maria (What a lovely name for your blog, wordsanctuary),
How nice to find you here. I haven't seen nor bumped into you in perhaps a dozen years, but I'll now be sure to stop by your blog occasionally. It looks like you're plenty busy with your work and motherhood.

John...The last time I saw you was when you visited one of my classes at Carroll, circa 1994...so a dozen years is right. Thanks for the kind words on my blog. I started it on a whim with lots of energy but then it waned somewhat.
